Health and Safety Policy

Obligations

Management is firmly committed to a policy enabling all work activities to be carried out safely and all possible measures are taken to remove (or atleast reduce) risks to the health, safety and welfare of workers, visitors or anyone else who may be affected by our operations.

Policy priorities

The workplace will conduct their activities and provide a work environment that:

  • Protects the health, safety and welfare of all persons including staff and visitors
  • Actively encourage controlling risk in workplace activities
  • Strive for continuous improvement in workplace health and safety

The workplace will address risk management as a priority. Workplace health and safety is both an individual and shared responsibility of all people of the management and employees. The following responsibilities are essential to the success of this policy:

Management

Will provide and maintain as far as possible:

  1. A safe working environment
  2. Safe systems of work
  3. Facilities for the welfare of the workers
  4. Information, instruction, training and supervision so that each worker is safe from injury and risks to health
  5. A commitment to consult and cooperate with workers in all matters related to health and safety at workplace
  6. A commitment to continually improve our performance through effective safety management.

Workers

Each worker has an obligation to:

  1. Comply with safe work practices, with the intent of avoiding injury to themselves and others
  2. Take reasonable care of health and safety of themselves and others
  3. Comply with any direction given by management for health and safety
  4. Report all accidents and incidents immediately
  5. Report all known or observed hazards
